question: for those applying to the school of the arts and architecture, do you still have a chance of admission if you didn’t get the email for the open house? thanks!!
@halpmehxd To be completely honest, I do not know. My gut is that it was open before because I think I was looking at it while waiting for decisions.
From my notes in April 2015 the decisions were released on 4/17 at 5pm and I submitted my alumni scholarship app 5 days later on 4/22.
@FourLeafLife I was! I’m not sure if I remember a bright red backpack, but I have short black hair & quite a few visible tattoos lol.

That’s so cool! Here’s hoping we both get our acceptance notifications SOONER rather than later! I’d really love to know one of my future classmates ahead of time…
@RoastedHamm It depends. Sometimes they’ll let you take a class at cc, sometimes not. You should talk with your counselor (at UCLA) if you end up deciding to go there. If a class is required for your major, the UCs usually want you to have it completed by the spring before your transfer. Also, there is no maximum number of units you’re allowed to take before transferring if you’re coming from a cc.
@HarleyTheQuinn I’m thinking they probably put those courses on assist for students transferring from universities. Or to let you know they are courses needed to delcare the major.
I tried to do a WayBack machine search for the UCLA alumni page and it seems in previous years that they released the application on Nov 1 and had a deadline of May 1. I couldn’t find an exact date in April in previous years to see if they release the application before or after decisions come out.

I had a dream that I got accepted and it felt so real I was about to update you guys on it when I decided to check again and was hit with the “application received” feels bad
The other night I had a dream that they deferred me until spring semester. Does UCLA do that?? I have one friend who got accepted into their transfer school as deferred for the spring semester even tho he applied for fall transfer.

on a slightly lighter note… i found a google chrome extension (called college decisions) that will automatically play ‘fix you’ by coldplay if it detects the language in a portal that implies rejection, and ‘congratulations’ by post Malone if it detects acceptance language . SO whatever happens , at least i have themed music

@gappy123 omg I couldn’t handle that. At least with the portal you can choose when you look at it and be somewhat prepared. With that, I’ll be hearing fix you out of nowhere and start crying.
