UCLA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

Also I had a dream UCLA rejected me last night. My mind really prepares me for the inevitable truth, love that

@Chikahlove I may be attending UCI. I got into Cal, but they offered me no financial aid. Waitlisted at UCSB, but if accepted offered grants that completely cover tuition. Waiting to hear on UCSD and UCLA, hoping at least one of the closer ones (I’m in Orange County) will offer more. If they don’t I’m going to have to weigh my options with a lengthy drive

Lol everyone is becoming friends on this thread

so for most people here is UCLA your top choice atm?

Yes it is. Ucla top top

Can someone PLEASE chance me for UCLA?

SCHOOL AND GPA:
I am attending a California Community College, I currently have a 3.65 transferrable GPA (took some untransferable classes and my overall GPA with the untransferrable classes is a 3.55 but I heard only transferable classes count).

PERSONAL INSIGHT QUESTIONS:
I think my personal insight questions on my application were very good, I talked about my struggles in being sent away for boarding school, the reasons I like Political Science, and for the other question my educational struggle with ADHD and how I trained myself to cope rather than taking ADHD medication.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES:
As for my extra activities in the application, I have worked with my local congressman in an internship, and worked on a political documentary in the summer.

I have all my prerequisites completed for my major, and by the end of this semester, I will probably have a somewhat lower GPA due to me having some B’s and one C. (I’m taking 21 units).

What do you think my chances are of getting in?

I keep envisioning how happy I’ll be if I get in, but then randomly I have the dark thought of the possibilty of getting rejected and it literally makes my heart beat so fast ?

I can’t even think Straight right now. I literally feel tingles in my body because of how stressed out I am lol. I can’t sleep without waking up at least 5 times during the middle of the night. I also can’t go 20 minutes without thinking about how I possibly am getting rejected. I just want to know so this feeling will stop because it’s messing with my life right now lol!!!

@slimreaper Not really. I don’t have a dream school; Imma just go wherever I get the most financial aid, even if that means going to UCM lmao

@oneyear @cam34568 @BBoy99 Can someone please chance me? My post is a few posts up

I’m so anxious it’s overwhelming. So anxious that my Christmas tree is still up lol.

@andreas554432 you didnt say what major you were

@Chikahlove Hey just saw your comment to me on the Berkeley thread. UCLA is my first choice and UCI is my second choice. Just like you, I live in SoCal and I don’t want to move. I live closer to UCLA though so I’d have to move for UCI. Also a non-trad. I attended Davis in 2011-2012 and then returned Summer 2017 to a cc. Did you also take a break from school?

Does anyone here major in Business? I got rejected by Haas and i don’t think UCLA would take me either…So I’m ready for Irvine lol

@cdot1009 im in the same boat as you lol rejected at haas accepted at UCI bizadmin. waiting on UCLA bizecon but the UCB rejection is making me nervous…

Can someone PLEASE chance me for UCLA Political Science?

lol even my college confidential account is overwhelmed. It deleted all my messages and doesn’t notify me when someone posts on this thread (it’s bookmarked)

Political science is a tough one to get into. your gpa is on the lower end but its not impossible. You’ll find out and get the real “chance” in 2 days.

@jjang25 Did you get an interview though? Most people got in for Haas got interviewed. Sometimes I even feel like I shouldn’t have done business…should’ve chosen an easier, less competitive major

@andreas554432 i would say you have a chance. we’re only 2 days away…hang in there
