Where does UCLA confirm that it’ll be on the 24th, I only see they’re saying “Sometime this week”. Where do people get these dates from?
@AeroDE Yes, we can. But it is rare that a first warning will result in a time out; the violation would need to be especially egregious. And we don’t always issue warning for the first offense. For example, I did not warn you for discussing moderator actions,which is a ToS violation.
Or perhaps you’d prefer that we should just let the troIIs with their fake acceptances run amok, instead of banning, as I did with @Politicsguy5722 ?

I’m worried about the fact that I’m not a California resident but an international student and my GPA is not that high to guarantee that I would get into UCLA…I think I was just lucky with Berkeley. UCLA is my dream school and I hope to get in

Hello Everyone! I’ve been snooping through this discussion for a few weeks now and I’ve decided to see what you all think about my chances.
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Sex: Female
GPA: 3.4*
Major Prep: Done
IGETC: Done
Essays: (9/10) One was about my 1000+ volunteer hours with a robotics program I’ve been with for 6 years (as a leader and a mentor). Second was about my mechanical engineering work building airplane parts at an aerospace company and making prosthetics for myself (I have a genetic deformation in my hand). Third essay was about my part-time job teaching kids robotics, programming, and engineering. Last essay was about the spring of my first semester where I was hospitalized on and off for internal bleeding. *My gpa obviously suffered and I got Cs that semester. I got better and for the next two years I got straight As.
Just worried about the GPA tbh. I know I was sick at the time, but it still worries me. Let me know what you think!

@lostboy18 No, I go to a CCC. My GPA isn’t bad, but it’s also definitely nothing to write home about lol. I have no proof, but I’m worried Ling + CS got significantly more competitive this year.
