UCLA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

Imagine if “after 5” really means like 11:59 pm hahaha

@the444 and it’s a shame too lol…they missed out on some quality trauma bonding :triumph:

continues to check portal every 5 mins even tho they confirmed tomorrow at 5

Are any of you gonna record yourselves seeing your decision? I might. :}

Any Statistics majors here?

literally am not sleeping tonight

@Duvergay Please do! I really want to watch more transfer college decision reactions. Most of them are high school seniors (not that I have any issue with that but it would be nice to see more transfers).

Good luck everyone! You should know even if you get the news you don’t want, you can be successful no matter what!

Mmmm nah @Trashception Love youuu

@duvergay I did for UCB, I haven’t watched it yet though. I know I just cried a lot. I was at work so it wasn’t long because I had to step out of the office to ball my eyes out from happiness and call my parents. I didn’t for UCI or UCSB, but I’m planning to for UCLA

@misseskite @Duvergay Yuuuuuuuuup I have been thinking about it. My bf has been suggesting that I make one lol. But then I’m like, what if I get denied? imma hit STOP real quick. Ugh!!! I wanna see your UCB one haha

@mpineda3247 Right?! They always do transfer recognition day at my school every year near the end of April for some odd reason. I think last year they did it a day after UCLA admissions were out.

@misseskite This is so wholesome omg congrats

Statistics major here!

@HarleyTheQuinn I’m sorry you weren’t able to celebrate getting into UCLA (cz you will get in!) Our Transfer Day is May 5 so thankfully I’ll have made a final decision. #blessup to ya though!

Thanks, @misseskite !! Omg bless your heart (and not in the passive-aggressive Southern way lol) So precious! Congratulations !!!

@callmeswags the catalog website says this for linguistics english transfers:
“Transfer applicants to the Linguistics and English major with 90 or more units must complete as many of the following introductory courses as possible prior to admission to UCLA: one introduction to linguistics course, one critical reading and writing course, one year of English literature survey courses, one symbolic logic course, and two years of one foreign language and one year of a second foreign language.”

The transfer website says this:
“To be considered for this major, you must complete the following courses by the end of the spring before transfer:
One year of college level declared language OR at least one year of high school in which the primary language of instruction was a declared language.
Note: Completion of intermediate/advanced foreign language is strongly preferred.”

@misseskite wow please save that clip forever. congrats!!!
