@the444 I was waitlisted at UCSB for pre-political science and also TAG’d. I’m assuming there were a lot of TAG applicants… that had higher GPA’s perhaps?

@tacoturnup it could be a possibility but at the same time I don’t think it is, TAG is literally “transfer admission guarantee” meaning as long as we follow all the requirements we’re guaranteed in so it makes absolutely no sense for us to get waitlisted. I’m gonna call tomorrow and see what they say!! You should too when you get a chance!!

And yes absolutely you guys, regardless of whether or not we get in I’m incredibly proud and excited for all of us to graduate from cc/transfer and embark on our next journey at a fabulous school. We’ll all be hyped up throughout summer to start another chapter of our lives in the fall

Has anyone else been rehearsing in their head on how you’re gonna react if you get rejected? When I open the portal to my rejection this afternoon, I want to be as chill and zen as possible lol. I also can’t sleep which is a problem because it’s already 3 am where I am
I have to do a presentation tomorrow an hour after 5 pm when decisions come out. I am so nervous that I don’t know if I should wait after my presentation to check the portal or check before.

@anthro101 all prereqs that were available at my school. I would consider my essays pretty well done. I had them reviewed by 2 people who formerly worked in admissions departments at different colleges. Also spent a few months on revising and revisiting them to make sure they were ideal by the time I submitted.

PLEASE DON’T CHECK YOUR PORTAL BEFORE 5! Open your decision when you are mentally and physically ready. You know that UCLA portal doesn’t work like Berkley. No “view updates” button. Once you’re login you either get accepted or rejected LMAO.
