Definitely not late April.
Given that Berkeley’s releasing their decision on 4/19 and that UCLA’s decision has always been before Berkeley(at most 7days), it should probably be one of these dates: 4/12,4/13, or 4/17
Anyone elses portal down, or is it just mine? It saids:
The MyApplication Status site is currently unavailable. We expect to be back up Friday evening.
Sincerely,
UCLA Undergraduate Admission
Yeah mine too
But does it mean anything?
@HippoJr Maybe it’s down because of freshman admissions decisions?
Yeah, it’s for the freshman admissions. I checked the freshman thread and apparently they’re getting their results tomorrow at 5!
Does Berkeley even have an Admissions Portal type of thing?? When I’ve checked to see when they"ll release decisions I recall seeing something about the portal “coming soon”
@gokingsgo1999 yeah they do have a portal for admissions. Recently, there has even been a frenzy caused by some so-called “myth” regarding having 4 addresses resulting to a denial by the school. Lol
@adreezybones @halpmehplz99 thanks guys!!
Does anyone know how soon UCLA has confirmed the date they release decisions? I’m not asking what day they release decisions, I’m asking how soon do they pick a date to release the decision. Thanks!
I applied as a comparative literature major as well!
Hi guys I’m starting to think I did something really stupid with my application. I didn’t know what a TAP was when I was applying since my school doesn’t offer it. And I seected English as my tap and my major is comparative literature. Does anyone know if this might affect me in any way?
@UniCoIn yay finally found someone who applied as comp lit! There aren’t many of us out there
I’ve been looking at all the schools I’ve applied to and I haven’t found anyone else with the same major! Where did you apply to?
Haha same here. Even in previous years threads I only see one or two ever. I applied to different majors depending on school:
UCLA - Comp Lit
Berkeley - Comp Lit
UCSB (tag) -Comp Lit
UCI - Literary Journalism (should’ve just went with Comp Lit - probably will put a request to change major tomorrow)
UCSD - I honestly can’t remember the major lol but I think it was world lit or something like that.
What about you?
Mine pretty much looks the same
UCLA - comparative lit
Uci- comparative literature
UCSD- literatures in english
UCSB- comparative literature
UCR- languages and literature
usc- comparative lit
Lmu- English (literature)
Pepperdine - English (literature)
Nice. I’m hoping the admit rate stays around the same 50-60% this year for our major at UCLA. It’s my top choice because I’m local (smc). Which one’s yours?
Did you complete the prereq’s? I did the English Comp course, Critical reading/writing, and two courses in Eng Lit. Plus a year of Spanish. I also did Shakespeare for Berkeley and for fun a World Lit course.
New to this thread but I was informed that UCLA will be releasing transfer decisions on April 24th. Might be wrong, idk, but that’s what I was told.
if you dont mind me asking, who told you this ?
Hi everyone I don’t know if this is appropriate for this thread or if someone can help me with it. I received an email from the uc application admission requesting me to explain a gap in my education history. I clicked the link and answered the question and submitted it but it just went back to the same page and I received an email that said response received but when I click on it it doesn’t show me any writing. I’m not sure if I should submit the essay again or if anyone else had this experience? Please let me know
