@8CLAP4SUP thanks bruh for showing a way to get distracted from tmw… gonna watch NBA games even tho I’m not a fan of either team
I know I’m going to feel my heart drop out of my body if I don’t get accepted and I really want to stay positive but im honestly preparing for the worst.
Aye did you guys know that Beyoncé finally released her Lemonade album on Spotify? Been waiting 3 years for that lol. Only a few more hours for UCLA
I’m certain that we will all end up where we are meant to be. I can’t sleep at all. I didn’t even think about UCLA or CAL. When I got into Cal I thought, wow…that means it IS possible for UCLA. I’m not counting on it, I know it’s a low chance for more of us then we’d like to admit. I will say, I appreciate all of your positivity and sharing in this trauma fest with you all. Hoping I can fall asleep before coffee is required as my anxiety has been bad enough.
Will UCLA send an a rejection/ acceptance email? Or will they send you an email telling you that your admission is avaliable? I’m confused because most colleges send out admission emails? So like?
@Princetonian9 bet!
Does anyone know if UCLA will release the financial aid packages with decisions if accepted?
I feel like I’m at a sleepover and you guys are the friends who are going to stay up all night and talk instead of going to bed…
@bigtittygothgirl I’ve heard that when you log in it just shows the decision. I don’t know about an email because I’ve relied on College Confidential to be my warning. I didn’t get any of my notification emails before people posted here and I checked. I feel like they’re often super delayed
17 hours left! ?
Goodnight I’ll see you all tomorrow!
Man, I never thought I would be in this situation. Pretty cool we all get to share the chance of being admitted to such an awesome institution! Good luck to everyone
There’s a 99.9% chance I’m not going to get but that .01%
is it 5:00pm yet?
Ugh I cannot sleeppppp
can'tsleepwon'tsleep
Can I trade my UC Davis acceptance for UCLA admission?
@cakeguy10 haha right there with you bud, I’d trade the combined schools I got into just for UCLA.
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that UCLA’s bells are actually a computer recording, played by the speakers on top of Powell? Cal’s bells are actual bells played from the top of the tower.
@LeoAlva Yes! I agree. And not only are Cal’s bells real, they’re actually part of an instrument called a Carillon (the one at Berkeley is a grand carillon), which features 61 bells controlled by an organ-type instrument with levers instead of keys. They have a full-time carillonist who takes on 12 private students each year, and a real live person plays the carillon 3 times a day. You can even learn to play the carillon more casually as part of a student-taught DeCal class, and you get to perform from the top of Sather Tower at the end of the semester!
Honestly it seems like a small draw for Cal but I desperately want to learn to play the carillon! If you’re curious this is what it looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_8vta9XDpc
Would still choose UCLA despite lack of bells ![]()
