@llaauurenn it looks like when decisions were actually “uploaded” but not quite ready on the portal, people were able to log into myucla and receive a “CONGRATULATIONS” message. this is not related to the “NEW STUDENT” tab. i also do not know if those that received the “CONGRATULATIONS” message had UID
I tried asking people from last year’s thread about if some didn’t have “new students” but got accepted. Sadly mod closed the discussion so there goes our chance >:U
Is it true there’s not going to be a “view updates” link ?? Is it really going to just open up to the letter ???

not having NEW STUDENTS TAB does not equate to not getting in.
However, people have reported receiving a congratulations message on MyUCLA once decisions had actually been uploaded to the portal.

@veejoeperra i don’t know that…but it does not matter. if he had a UID and got that message, even better. if he did not have UID, it still applies since that’s the same situation as me. i do not have UID and am getting the same message

Guys, just be patient. We literally find out our decision in less than four hours. It’s one of, if not, the biggest day of our lives. Just let things happen naturally instead of looking into these theories.
