Yes definitely. Man being accepted in UCLA would change everything haha I didn’t plan on going to college to merely go to my classes and take exams. I’m just extremely worried because 95% of transfer students come from CCC and I go to college in NY. Is UCLA your first choice? @FunkOff

I’m a 3.68 GPA Political Science student coming from a California Community College. Only extra curricular I have is an internship with my Congressman. I’m white and both of my parents have gone to college and are well educated.
What are my chances?

I got into Berkeley with a 3.46 GPA but my heart is on UCLA. I hope I get lucky again ???
Major requirments, AA-T, IGETC… all completed and worked the entire 3 years I was at CC at the same place so that shows commitment and my essays were pretty good. I hope I can stay in SoCal ? Good luck to everyone.
@plasticraccoon Same here. I go to PSU which is out of state. And I can’t focus on my final because of this decision.
@90smix I wouldn’t worry if you’re slightly below, just remember that there’s a lot more that they consider than just GPA, the average GPA is just the midpoint, some will be above, some will be below. UCLA wants well rounded students, so they’ll also look at your ECs, essays, and if your TAP certified. if you’re good in those areas I really dont think you have to worry. Good Luck!

My major at CC is Technical Theatre. I applied to Berkeley for their “Theatre and Performance Studies”. And no to TAP or Honors.
Do you guys know how much of a difference TAP makes? I’ve looked online and read many different things, but I haven’t ever found like clear stats of TAP vs not TAP.

Browsed this thread the last few days. Anxiety levels are probably through the roof but keep in mind that ALL of you will end up successful and accomplished no matter what college you attend.
Don’t confuse your path with your destination!
Praying that I get accepted into biochem so that I dont have to move all the way to SF for UCB… lol no offense to any of you north cal people, I just love living in SoCal too much :neutral:
