At ucsd and sdsu you can change majors once youre accepted but UCSD has limits to what you can change into.
I was accepted into UC Berkeley Spring '2020, but I found out that they didn’t receive my TAU update so my admission isn’t even guaranteed anymore. And now I’m waiting on UCLA

I’ve been following this thread for weeks and you guys are my saviors. Nobody else knows that transfer anxiety, and it’s nice to know there’s a bunch of other people obsessively wondering about their futures. I already know I’m gonna get rejected from LA, but I’m so anxious and I know nobody wants to hear it but if someone would change me that would be great.
GPA: 3.68( Have gotten straight A’s since after my first quarter, got a C+ and a B in non major courses, but it was the first quarter of college and I was adjusting, would have a 3.97 without those)
Major: psych
Attending a top 40 private university (made deans list too)
ECs: not many, I work to pay my own bills so don’t have a ton, but did do independent research where I wrote a paper on the evolutionary origin of a mental disorder along with a potential treatment.
I’m California born and raised, and my time at my current institution was so bad I actually took a LOA to attend a CC in LA with the highest transfer rate to UCLA, but I let every UC know I didn’t leave due to behavioral reasons.
Got rejected from UCB but I’m appealing because I’m ending my spring semester with a 4.0 (finishing my second english course and my one math class) and was admitted to the Dean’s List for my university. Got into UCSB for psych.
I know I’m at a disadvantage, but I saw UCLA lets in more students for psych so fingers crossed. Can’t focus on my stats exam tomorrow so might as well post this, and good luck everyone! You guys actually saved me from going crazy.

I feel like one of the worst parts about getting rejected is disappointing parents.
Lol even worse when they dont know what youre doing in school then you gotta carry the disappointment alone.

I really feel you on that @charlie122 I don’t particularly feel like my father will be disappointed in me. It’s more of him feeling bad for me about how I didn’t receive the news I wanted despite my efforts.
Looks like the UCLA portal is down atm. Can’t wait!
