did you go to where it says “need help” and email from there? @GoodAfternoonSir
@twelveseveneight @whostolemycookie ucla really likes cccp students. It shows you’re seriously interested in attending ucla. It’s a 1 year commitment. Plus if you have tap and a decent gpa I say your chances are pretty, actually really good. The honors coordinator at my school and majority of everyone in the honors program got into ucla with tap. Thanks I hope we all make it!
@CalBear1998 Unfortunately I never did TAP, but I hope being an anthropology major helps my chances because it’s unimpacted.
do we need to send UCs the update of winter quarters???
I just sent mine because a guy in another group said UC application center can update it. I only sent it because it will help my gpa lol @lilii99
I don’t think you can update an another a TAU, it got closes after March. I updated mine during March cuz it helped to boost my GPA up!
However, you can contact the UC application center and asked them to update it.
@bruins8clap TAP is priority consideration, but it is still not a guarantee, so it doesn’t mean security or anything. Its just added value to your app.
@aerpDE how did you update in the middle of quarter? what grade did you update after January what new grades did you receive? also did you call UCs and ask them if they consider those?
@DiamondCalmDown I emailed the UC Application Center directly and notified the new grades I received and they accepted it and made the grades viewable to all the campuses I applied. No need to call them, just email them and they’ll get the job done. I did this on April 3rd so I don’t know if you’ll be able to do this at a later time as decisions are right around the corner. Do this as soon as you can so that the campuses will receive your new information in time before reading your application.
The address I sent to is the one listed in my previous response. ucinfo@applyucsupport.net
@lilii99
I updated through the UC application portal, I thought it was closed after the January TAU. Although it wasn’t the case, the portal lets you update until March.
I update my second English (grade- A) class on March 21. I believe that English class was important for my tag to UCI which they want me to complete the second UC-E course by spring 2019 or before.
However, in your case, if your class is important or has the potential to increase your GPA, then update it. Also, you can contact the UC application center through their email -GoodAfternoonSir had stated. I would recommend you to call them since UC’s had already begun to review applications and calling them would make the process of updating the grades much faster.
If you are applying to UCLA, I would call them and ask if they will consider the grades for winter quarter, just to make sure.

If you guys want to add anything to or update your application, do it! I got an email from the University of California two days ago telling me that they were currently reviewing my application, so definitely update whatever you need now
@GoodAfternoonSir This is super helpful, thanks so much! My grades were just posted last night so I emailed this morning, I hope the campuses look at them ? I think I might call too just in case.
@willowstil Any time! Quick Question though, did all of your classes finish? Or did some of your classes finish by early april? Just curious cause the more classes the merrier. Plus Idk if you’re applying to USC but they told me to first send an unofficial transcript as that can be downloaded immediately from your eservices account, then immediately send an official transcript to them if you have new grades you would like to report. Decreases chance of getting an SGR.
@GoodAfternoonSir All of my classes for Winter 2019 have finished, but I am attending two CCs simultaneously (impacted classes) and only one has posted grades so I am still awaiting my final grade for one other class (I wanted to submit whatever grades I could asap so there’s a better chance that the campuses will see them). So far I’ve received all A+s so I’m hoping I continue the streak with the last one, lol. The UC App Center sent me a similar response to yours. I listed my grades and I wanted to submit my unofficial transcript but I literally cannot find a way to download it off Ellucian so I just submitted a jpeg of it ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Not very official but it’s the best I could do.
I didn’t apply to any privates but thank you for the tip!
@willowstil Nice! I wish I had the option of taking winter classes. I’d probably just take Calc 2 and wrap things up before April so I could list it in TAU. The application center did tell me specifically that my transfer update information has been directly given to the campuses I selected so it should be fine.
Also, I think someone on this thread said that they’ve just been in the process of reviewing an applicant’s profile so I think they’ve waited till the end of march to start reviewing applications. Hope that’s true so that I can rest easy knowing they see my final Major Pre-req completed with an A, that could make them more confident to admit me hopefully
if we update them, it is not going to effect other ones which already released th decisions right? so overall I mean it doesn’t have negative effect right?
I dont even have the option to update anything anymore
@Princetonian9 Nobody does, you’d have to email the UC Application center.
IDK why you guys are so worried about updating your grades? You do know they state that the last grades that they will base it off is for fall 2018. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Really, at this point in April it’s not going to have any bearing. It’s passed the point of no return and an A in Poli Sci or whatever isn’t going to change anything. Even submitting early, which only means maybe a UC will give it some thought, also doesn’t guarantee any UC will consider it all. By April they’re simply sweeping up the dust.
