Phew! Just submitted my UC app! I know it just the application but it feels so good to know I did my best, and have that weight off my shoulders. I hope you guys are feeling good about it too. Remember- there’s less than a week left to get em in. Good luck
Good luck! What major are you?
Submitted my app last week - so happy this part of the process is done and now I just have to wait and see. How is everyone else feeling?
@duranceau951 I am no expert but your app sounds pretty solid to me!
@RainbowBritey So happy when I turned mine in!! Now we just have to wait 5 months… Good luck to you! What is your major? Do you wanna post your stats?
And thanks! I’ve put a lot of hard work into it.
Thanks! @duranceau951!
I’m a psychology major and very excited to get a little deeper into the discipline than what lower-division CC classes offer. Your app info looks incredible btw. I’m also going through a career switch and found plenty to pull from for my PIQs- I’m sure yours are great!
Are you a statistics major at all of the UCs you applied to?
@ishitak how many major prep classes will be completed by Spring? You’re GPA looks like its where it needs to be, but when I talked to admissions (also for psych) they stressed having as many major prep courses as possible done by fall. However, they said that if you have 4/5 done by fall with good grades it shouldn’t hurt you much.
@eager1beaver I will have all my major prep classes done by this semester. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Man, after all of these years of continuously going through transfer threads it feels great to finally be a part of one! Hope someone (preferably a psych major) can chance me or provide feedback!

Hi everyone…my 19 year old daughter is in her 3rd year at a CA community college. She has 64 transferable units completed as of today. She will take 4 more classes in spring just to remain full time. She graduated high school 2 years early at 16 ( at the conclusion of her 10th grade year) with the California High School Proficiency Exam and went straight to community college and working 35 hours a week. Applied to USC only… last year… with a 4.0 gpa and didn’t get in. Received a spring grade request but had withdrawn from a class and was ultimately rejected. Not re-applying there this round and sticking to the UC and CSU schools. Good luck everyone!

To all the prospective philosophy transfers, feel free to message me! I’m finishing my philosophy degree at Cal, but I’m planning to go to graduate school, and I know a lot about the departments at other schools. UCLA’s philosophy department just got a $25 million donation, so the department is making changes that will probably benefit undergraduates in philosophy. Either way, it’s a great department, but I’m happy to talk about my experience at Cal if you’re interested!
Good luck everyone!

Sent in my application just now. Going to be a long few months!!
@delaxcruz can I ask how your experience at UCSC has been? Obviously you are wanting to transfer but just wondering about what you like or dislike about the campus etc. thanks!
@HeyItsNick I remember you from the USC thread earlier this year. I don’t remember if you are transfering from a ca community college or out of state? Are you applying to USC again?
