Everyone always dreads the waitlist. I personally don’t get it, I feel like it’s at least a shot? Why do people hate it (genuinely curious, not trying to be rude )
Cause its like ok youre basically denied but we’re gonna dangle this carrot for another month, cya next month loser.
I think I’d be okay with being on the waitlist if I got off it quickly, but if it took more than a week for them to accept or deny me, I would dread it

@offwhiteazy they don’t tell you whether you can get off the list and be admitted until decisions are due from what i hear right? by then, you would have made a decision where to go, make housing plans, imagine a new life somewhere new, but in the back of your mind you’re wondering the never-ending what-ifs. i’d rather just be done with this lol give me a solid yes or no please, none of that maybe bs

Does anyone know how hard the 2 classes to declare Biz Econ as your major are? econ 11 and 101
pretty sure, there were bunch of econ majors who can answer your question
@neilsola You can check r/UCLA and also bruinwalk for confirmation, but from what I know, econ 11 is one of the two weeder courses for the economics majors. It’s quite quantitative and will be difficult for people without good math aptitude.
Not sure about Econ 101, but it seems people complain less frequently about it.

@Randapanda126 heeeey randaaa. Soooo! They said for the lang requirements, it depends on what the cc gives you in terms of credit. So whatever you did whether in high school or at the Cc, they determine how many “years” you have and then you can just use that for your major prep. And the beautiful way that I screwed myself is that I didnt check with my cc before I applied to see how much my ap test and 2.5 years of high school French is worth so that I could tell ucla in the tau, instead I jast told them I got a 3 and have 2.5 years… soooo we’ll see how they want to take that. Also they said once you get accepted theyll expect to see the cc credits indicated on your transcript as a way of validating your claims dun dun dunnnn. Yea hopefully they interpret the jargon I wrote in a understanding manner.
