UCLA Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@surefineitsok So, according to the numbers released by UC, Transfer students from CCCs are admitted to UCLA at a rate of about 20%. Those students who utilize TAP are admitted at anywhere between 80-100%, depending on the major. I got this info straight from UC’s website as well as my Honors Program coordinator.

Ah okay I accidentally put an impacted major as my alt major lmao and just realized my mistake but my first choice major is really not impacted like far from im hoping it saves me lmao

@offwhiteazy can you paste the whole thing in here? It doesn’t say that for me on the UCLA portal

@Lex7777777 I haven’t heard from UCI at all so far

@polisci444 I applied to UCI with a major in polisci, was accepted last week!
Havent heard squat from any other UC’s though

GUYS! I just spoke with assistant director of admissions of UCLA that was at my community college literally 5 minutes ago. She said decisions will NOT be coming out tomorrow. They will be released next Wednesday, the 24th. Anyone that says decisions are coming out tomorrow are lying. She also added that they are still finalizing the review process of the application.

Yea thats what i always thought

Lmao I just got an email that said,
"Thank you for your email.

We do not have a set date for transfer admission decisions but they will be released before the end of the month.

Sincerely,
UCLA Undergraduate Admission"

Awww /:

Yea I’ve pretty much accepted they’re coming out next week and it’s helped make me feel less anxious. Just going to keep myself busy with my school work and possibly work ahead into next weeks assignments (online class).

Ugh so sad…

I kinda don’t wanna hear a no…

is it just me or are the UCs really behind this year?? last year it seems like ucsb/uci/ucsd/ucd all came out earlier

I have a feeling there’s a delay since they had to accommodate people who got affected by the fire. I think there’s a substantial amount of people who got affected.

CC forums will be down tomorrow. Does that mean we’re gonna know who wins the prize tomorrow? Lol

Anyone here applying to UCLA for Math/Econ? My GPA is 3.88 and I don’t know if that’s competitive enough. Also just to be sure, spring grades don’t count right??

UCs may be behind this year because they now have to go through “extreme vetting” to ensure no one buys their way into a UC.

Both my major / alt major are basically the same impacted major. I wouldn’t want to transfer within and push back my graduation date

Really 3.88 isn’t a slam dunk for UCLA Math/Econ?

@lmgradgoals It’s for this year. UCI invites all the H2H and Tag students to meet in 4/20. I got the invite on 4/4…
