UCLA Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

I can’t believe decisions might come out in 4 days!! For some reason I felt like we still had like another month of waiting to do ?

@uclaking Honestly, you never know. I was completing a lot of my pre-reqs this semester, and had a 4.0, but I did not get into Cal for a non-impacted major. I don’t have much hope for LA either after I didn’t get a regents offer. I think you would be able to get into the lower level UCs quite easily, but you may have some trouble based on pre-reqs just like me since LA and Cal really want them to be finished. But, who knows? I wish you the best hopefully things work out for both of us. You can always try and appeal if it does not work out.

I’ve followed this site for years but never signed up. The youngest of three is at CCC and waiting to hear from UCLA, UCSD, & UBSB. Are there any Comparative Literature majors on this thread?
Daughter has 3.85 gpa, TAP and IGETC and last pre-req completed this semester.

For those of you who didn’t get a regents code, I don’t think you should worry too much. There have even been instances in the past where some regents invitees have been rejected. Everyone still has a chance of getting in - don’t lose hope! Good luck to all and I hope we get some good news soon ?

im now genuinely concerned bc i didnt get an invite and have a 4.0… ?
can it possibly be a separate process for majors under school of art/arch?

What’s a regent code? do you only get it if you submitted the regent scholarship in February?

@user238593894 i think the school sends out email invites to those eligible to apply for the regents scholarship. the one in feb is the transfer alumuni scholarship, which is open to everyone. although some people did no get invites to apply for transfer scholarship, everyone is still allowed to apply. for regents, only the invited are allowed to apply.

Not film, but still TFT! Theatre with a concentration in acting. I felt pretty good about my audition and stats but that under 4% admission rate got me stressed big time. Good luck

Hi guys! I can’t believe that the decisions might be released on Wednesday! ? I’m crazy nervous!!!

I think I remember UCLA posting the accnouncement date when it gets really close for freshman admissions not sure if they do the same for transfers

@ucdramageek Hi. Thanks. I hope everything will be OK. I have lots of experiences and have done thinks that at least I think usually undergrad students don’t. I feel good about my interview, too. Hope to see you there.

I’ve read that in the past Regents required a letter of recommendation, does anyone know if it still does? I can’t seem to find anything stating a definitive yes, so I’m wondering if its a corona virus casualty.

Also, stats in case anyone is curious:
4.00
CCC, but maybe considered an out of state resident? Not fully sure.
Accepted at UC Berkeley for Mathematics
Veteran
UCLA Regents invitation on April 17, Applied for Economics

It does not require a letter of recommendation (I received the regents invitation and did not have one). I am also an econ major too! Good luck!

Hi, got admitted to Cal last Friday! Anxiously waiting for UCLA results. Am intending to transfer as an economics major and I have a 4.0 GPA, although I wasn’t able to finish TAP. Am I most likely going to be rejected? I’ve heard that most of their admits are TAP certified.

Wait is that actually true that most admits are TAP certified? Even if they don’t have as strong of a gpa as someone who is not?

My school doesn’t even have TAP. I highly doubt it. If you have all your major classes & IGETC with a pretty good GPA (4.0 is awesome!) I think you’re probably in.

whats the most important thing for engineering admissions

Hi everyone!
Im super confused bc I got the regents email, but no code… this prob means that I wont get it before admissions huh? For some background: 4.0 GPA, poli sci major, accepted to Berkeley and Davis, got the transfer alumni scholarship email too.

@scaredasheck some emails don’t have the code?? That’s weird.

Hi everyone!
I’m wondering if I’ll be accepted to UCLA. I’m at a CC right now, with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and I applied for the Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution major. I see others got an email about applying for the regents scholarship so I’m worried by the fact I did not get an email. I’m one class shy of finishing IGETC, but all my other major requirements are done except for physics.
Accepted: UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz (Regents scholarship), UC Davis (TAG)
Pending: UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego
