@intobuck Your chances would be lower than a CC applicant. 96% of transfer are from CC i believe, but dont be discouraged. Still apply
Hey everyone! Currently, I am a bit anxious in applying for schools. To put it shortly, I attended Northern Arizona University fresh out of high school as a 17-year old. I was thinking of writing about that in the PI question regarding an educational barrier I overcame because I was young and only wanted to get out of the house coming from impulsive teenager. Basically, I was going to touch on the maturity aspect as I was able to mature and grow being away from home at such a young age. I realized at NAU I did not know exactly what I wanted to do, so I came back home and attend CCC to reassess on my plan. Fastforward, to my second year of community college, I now know that I want to pursue com as my major! Also, I had an internship for a fashion PR showroom in the summer of 2018. I am now going on 20-years old and have matured quite a bit since my first year at university.
Right now, my stats are:
Major: Communications Studies
GPA: 3.87 (only one B)
TAP: no (missed the deadline, is this a big deal not having it?)
Honors: Will be completed by Spring 2020
IGETC: Will be completed by Spring 2020
ECs: I work at Home Depot, Honors Program (perhaps I should join a club?)
Chance me?
Major prep: will be done by spring 2020
@BruinSox I wish you luck!
Oof 4% doesn’t sound promising at all. Thanks though

I might get a B in my honors course this fall. I feel iffy at the moment about an A. The class is kicking my ass and the pressure is on this month with application deadlines and scholarship letters of rec. Other than that I have a 4.0 in my major prep. I wish everyone luck. Also does anyone know when TAG decisions will be out ?
Hey,
I was wondering how I could possibly access my old UC application from high school. Currently, It does not show it in my uc portal. Thanks.
I’m not sure if you can because I think transfer and freshman are separate. You probably saved a pdf somewhere if you give it some thought.
I thought there was a way to access the old application through the old website somehow. I remember doing it about two months ago. Does anyone have it bookmarked?
I think when you log in your previous application is listed right there and is clickable. But they did just change things around so it might not be there anymore.
@vegastransfer thanks for responding! That was a clever response about the UCLA/USC rivalry.? But I do have some questions that I have in mind.
Does my GPA vary more than the insight questions from the application?
I am currently standing with a 3.0 GPA, does the UC system review the application based on my current grades?
If so, will they be able to consider the grades for the upcoming semester?
Does the UC system accept transcripts at the time of admission?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
GPA is paramount. They will calculate through fall 2019.
You send transcripts in late spring after acceptance and you accept the offer.
major: environmental science
GPA: 4.0
Part of honors program, will have all major prerequisites done by the Spring.
extracurriculars: started a tutoring company for economically disadvantaged kids taking the SAT, religious school teacher, volunteer at hospital, work as a scribe, in the process of collecting data for 2 research papers. others but will take too long to list lol.
Essays: ehhh maybe like 8/10, solid but not anything crazy
Cons: Only applying with 1 year at CCC (16 units in summer+ high school, 19 in Fall, 24 scheduled for spring)
Good luck to everyone! Hope you all make it where you want to go!
