Hey, I was wondering if you could share a little about your stats transferring to UCLA. I’m also a biz econ and I’m so anxious
Unrelated: Does anyone have the link to the UCSD thread? it doesn’t come up when I search it. Thanks in advance <3
Yes that would be great! I’m Bus Econ also

After reading all 67 pages, I just lived a hundred lives, checked my portal 30 times, and made a thousand friends. I didn’t know something like this existed. Thank you whoever made this thread.
There’s no way we will have to wait until next Wednesday right? We all think it’ll come out friday?

Based on dates of previous years yes. Now UCSD is another story

I would be genuinely surprised if this does not come out on Friday. I need sleep lol.
ok but has anyone gotten a code to apply for the regents scholarship?
Can’t believe I’ve been denied by all the UC’s I’ve applied to so far… I have a 4.0 major GPA. I hope UCLA or UCSD accepts me I’m finishing the last two prereqs this semester
Hey all. I’ve been stressing out about admissions as much as you are. I’ve been noticing some posts in here regarding major pre-reqs. So, on UCLA’s website for Life Science majors, the requirements they have listed are 1 year of General Chemistry, 1 year of biology, 1 year of calculus, and a semester of ochem. I guess between last year and this year, they removed the recommendation of doing a year of physics. This semester, I’m doing the recommended second semester of ochem, and a stats class listed on assist (but not listed on the UCLA’s Life Science website).
At this point, I’m only missing a third quarter of biology since my CCC has no equivalent.
So how am I looking?
3.68 GPA
Intended Major: Psychobiology
IGETC done
FWIW, i also got into UCB if there’s any correlation there

Yaa I got it last Friday. Several people on this thread did too.
Is it bad that I did not get the Regents code? I have a 4.0 and all my requirements done. Does that indicate lower chances of getting in?

Nooo it’s not bad. Although your major is competitive, you have a perfect GPA. Getting the regents code doesn’t indicate anything. There’s more people that are going to be regular admits than regents admits. They can only pick so many people to send the regents invitation to cuz lots of people have perfect GPAs.

Honestly same! And I’m pretty sure I have all the prereqs done (hard to tell exactly though). But I’m from a CSU so I was kinda screwed from the beginning. Not to mention I’m a CS major too.

Hey me either…Can i ask your major…? my major is CS…I got rejected from UCB(eecs),UCSB(cs)…
Is Corona affect to the decision…? I can understand UCB (eecs) major is so competitive, but I can’t understand what happened to UCSB…
I cannot expect my admission from UCLA, UCSD…ugh

Same here man, I have a 4.0 overall and major GPA and nothing but rejections. Even got strong EC’s (debate, club President, $1M revenue business) and essays but no ones thrown me a bone yet.
Hi guys. For data theory, “To be considered for this major, you must
complete four semesters/five quarters of calculus through multivariable and either linear algebra” I have have completed the sequence of calculus through lin alg. However, it doesn’t equate to four semesters. I have 3 semesters (Calc1,2,3) but my lin alg class is at UCI, which is on a quarter system. Can this be an issue even though I have completed all my prereqs?
@zekogmo you should try and figure out if you’re missing a key component. 4.0 and rejected by all thus far (including mid-tier) sounds like a potential flaw in the application.
I’m still worried about the “Two transferable English courses” requirement. Because my current school only offers one freshman (also one semester) English course and the other one is major-specific English courses (mine is CS major, so I need to take a technical writing course). Other than that, I don’t have any English courses. (thought I took a public speaking course). I wasn’t sure if that will affect my application seriously. But that’s not the thing I can control. I mean my school only have a one-semester freshman English course.
