UCLA Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

I’m not even tryna get my hopes up today lol I was so disappointed on Wednesday

If they don’t release today would this be the latest they have ever released transfer decisions?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they made us wait longer

I think it’s today, folks. Let’s just see what happens

4.0 Business Economics applicant but I do not have Calc 1 or 2. Just assuming a rejection, what do you guys think?

The regent essays are due the 27, I have high hopes for today.

I dm’d Ms. Sun on Twitter lol and she is guessing it comes out today

@Maxles1999 Pretty sure calc 1 and 2 is a transfer requirement to be considered for business economics.

Those classes are critical.

Honestly, missing one prerequisite for biz econ is detrimental to your application, let alone two prerequisites, let alone a full year of calculus (for an econ-related major).

Yeah I agree. Regents essays are due Monday the 27th so I would be surprised if decisions didn’t come out today because of that. Either way I’m still keeping my fingers crossed!

how many people here are waiting for ucla decisions so they can decide between ucla and Berkeley??

now we wait…

me, and also UCI because I’m a SoCal resident so it would save me so much money for housing during this time but idk : /

Me! UC Berkeley is tempting but if UCLA accepts then I’m staying in SoCal!

tbh I’m so jealous lol. At least you have a choice. I got rejected by UCB. UCLA is my last school. Anyway, best wishes.

i read an email that i got from uci that said theyre not guaranteeing housing for transfers this year. idk if that would change anything for you regarding wanting to go to uci, because berkeley said that we still get at least a year of on campus housing.

@ndrsn0208 thank you! good luck to us all

UC Berkeley is not offered guaranteed housing for new students this year either. “It is not possible to know at this time whether the COVID-19 pandemic will result in changes in operations in student housing and residential life in Academic Year 2020-2021. Consequently, we cannot guarantee housing priority for new incoming students at this time but we are committed to supporting students if they want to live on or near campus.” https://housing.berkeley.edu/newstudents

@legallyblack Oh! I would actually live at home which is why I said it would save me money from housing - I live in Orange County :- ) But I did receive that email and it sucks for those that were looking into dorming at UCI.
