You don’t submit any transcripts until you SIR in late spring, and yes, you will have to send them THEN, but I’m not sure where you sent anything now.
I feel like I’m in the same boat.
I’m an English major. I want to go to UCLA.

Also received the dean’s list.
TAP: no. I didn’t know there was one until it was too late to apply.
IGETC: done

@goodluck12 I’m not sure. The transfer profile on the website seems high.
Hi everyone! So i wanted some advice about part time/ full time student. I have been a full time student every semester and I have completed all my major prep for Econ and I am currently enrolled in a bio class and lab (4 units) for this semester to finish IGETC. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was ok to only take 4 units this semester? I am well over the 60 unit minimum and I wanted to focus this semester on working and saving money before transferring to a 4 year this fall but I’m worried that UCLA might look down on being a part time student for this spring?? anyone have any advice? Thank you!
hi! im in the same boat as you actually, and have been debating my TAU for a while now but am really just eager to turn it in at this point haha. i met with the berkeley rep who comes to my CC regularly (and sidenote attended UCLA). I explained that I’ve already attained over the credits needed and have taken all the prereqs + other additional classes. (i’m also econ btw). next quarter I only have Math 1C left to do for some of the schools i’m applying to. he told me it’s totally valid to take only a few credits and include a comment explaining what you’re doing with your time (ie., working extra hours to help save money/support yourself). or he suggested taking a class that fulfills some of my personal interests or just complements my curriculum.
still looking for any insight though! thanks everyone. and good luck let me know what you ended up doing/putting on your tau!
Hey guys, first time on CC.
So I am a Political Science major. I’d like to go to UCLA.

Major prep: Taking my last class this semester
Essays: I think they were pretty good, I wrote about my life experiences.
I know my GPA isn’t the best, but I had 1 free fee waiver for a UC and decided why not apply to UCLA. If anyone knows anything about football, this was a hail mary play for me. If I get in, awesome. If not, then oh well, at least i’ll know that I tried.
Good luck to everyone!!
Hey guys! So does anyone have an idea of when they will be sending out invites for the Regents application this year? I’ve been reading up on it and it seems like the timelines have changed several times the past few years.
Do you know when the decisions for transfer admissions come out? I know it says April but do you know around when? When was it last year for fall 2019??

Hi everyone was just wondering about the terms of the provisional contract if you get accepted. I’m a math major and applying to letters and sciences. I’m scared I might get a c this winter quarter in differential equations which is a major prep and required class. Can they rescind me? Thanks.
Every provisional is different. The standard is to notify the UC if you get two Cs or a D — but that doesn’t mean that’s what you’ll get. Yours might be more strict. It will depend on variables they determine. None of us can tell you what yours might be.
For Fall 2020 admission there were 25,932 transfer applicants to UCLA. Good luck everyone.
Hi everyone!
I guess I will share a little about myself to post on this awesome thread.

College: DVC, Pleasant Hill
Years: 2018 Spring - 2020 Spring
Intended: UCB-School of Engineering
I have already completed all the major requirement by the end of 2019 summer. I am now taking all the strongly recommended course like (Matlab, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, engineering drawing…) for this entire year. I will pretty much finish all the lower division course before transferring. I never had any W or P/NP in all my transferable major-related course.
IGETC: Not applicable (engineering major)
School involvement: College welcome day volunteer, ICC representative of school club for 1 semester, Berkeley Project volunteer for 3 semester, some major-unrelated club experience.
Community service: Berkeley Project, Poll volunteer for contra costa county election center during 2018 election, food bank volunteer. (Total 50+ hours)
extracurricular/ special talented: Orienteering, several state-wide orienteering competition experiences, map reading and analysis, and skiing.
Job experience: an engineering internship in SF, doing mechanical design (major-related) since 2019 Oct.
Unrelated Job experience: DoorDash driver.
Honor/ Award: Two different scholarships for college students
Hoping to complete more extracurriculars based on my major, but it’s already too late to obtain an opportunity to do so.
Personal background: ESL students, first generation immigrants from Asia, asian american, low income status, a typical asian guy. I can speak two different languages fluently other than english. (trilingual)
Age: 20
personal statement: I chose “community service”, " your greatest talent or skill" and “overcome the most significant challenge”. By the way, I am quite confident of my personal statement coz I put quite a lot of time to draft and construct all the elements for all the essays question. I also have found many professional english teacher to help revise my essay.
Applying to UCB, UCLA, UCD, and UCSD. Considering applying for out-of-state private school like MIT, Cornell (but too expensive tuition fee…I gave up)
some of my friends said I have 90% chance, some said 80%, but some don’t agree, some said I have only 50% chance to get admitted to UCB or UCLA.
@antwaine where did you get that stat?
@engineergeek01 I’m pretty sure IGETC is applicable to UCLA. Just not partial IGETC.
Copied From the transfer agreement "Applicants are not required to complete the HSSEAS General Education Requirements in order to be admitted, although it is beneficial for students to complete 1 course from each of the following areas: arts, humanities, social sciences, and life sciences. Applicants can fulfill the lower division General Education requirement by completion of the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC). Partial IGETC is NOT accepted "
I think I have completed at least 1 course from from each of the following areas: arts, humanities, social sciences, and life sciences. I didn’t have IGETC because it’s not required for berkeley.
Btw, what is HSSEAS General Education Requirements?
