yeah it’s insane… if i choose to commute it’s either a 45 min-1 hr drive or constantly taking public transportation. i’m sure la rent is just as bad or worse though unless you have like 3-4 roommates you can split the costs with

LA rent is actually not that bad compared to NorCal IMO. Especially since UCLA is very commute-able via the public transit, rent price can vary greatly depending on how close to campus you want to live. It’d be very reasonable to pay ~$1500 for a 1 bedroom and then you can get a roommate.

I’m actually surprised that I got waitlisted since I was expecting a straight up rejection after getting rejected from Cal. I thought I had more chances for Cal than LA since comm is sooo impacted, but I guess we rlly don’t know what’s gonna happen.
