LA rent is actually not that bad compared to NorCal IMO. Especially since UCLA is very commute-able via the public transit, rent price can vary greatly depending on how close to campus you want to live. It’d be very reasonable to pay ~$1500 for a 1 bedroom and then you can get a roommate.
