Sorry for re-asking
Anybody got art open house visitation yet
I’m not awaiting for the school of arts and architecture (I’m art history) but I second this question, did anyone get one in general?
Yeah I also didn’t know anything about it until I saw some posts on collegeconfidential.
But in general, seems like they sent every year
Is this open house invite for art only or for everyone?
Oh of course I guess it’s for only art applicants since it’s an imaginary(?) art open house invitation
Ah ok.
Hey, I don’t think anyone got one yet but I could be wrong. I emailed the school to ask about it but they haven’t responded in a week or so. I haven’t gotten one either, but it’s only for The School of Arts and Architecture! What’s your major? I applied for architectural studies
Oh
I applied WAC
Yeah I know.
I’m sorry to hear that school didn’t reply to you yet. I was just wondering if anybody got the invitation since there’s possibilities that I didn’t get yet while others got it
I have art history as my second choice major, but my first choice is communications

Applying to UCLA, CAL, UCSD, UCSB
Ok, folks. All freshman admits for all UCs are in. This thread is about to get heavy. D19 awaiting decision.
Less than a month left till UCLA comes out. These next few weeks are going to feel like eternity.
You could say that again. Hopefully, midterms will keep me preoccupied
When will the admission decision come out?
Either the 16th or 23th of April according to this link: UC Transfer Application Timeline | Ask Ms. Sun
I am pretty certain it is going to be the 16th. There are websites that have the release date for the last 5 years. UCLA and Berk have been released on different days. I find it hard to believe that UCLA and Berk are both going to be on the 23rd.
Could be. However, UCLA has historically released decisions during the 4th week of April, either on Wednesday or Friday: Admission Notification Dates for UC Transfer Applicants 2020. Plus, this year they received a ton more applications, so that’d make the wait a bit longer. But hey, I’d love for it to be released on the 6th.
Major: Philosophy
In-State (California)
School: LACC
GPA: 4.0
Gender: Male
Income Bracket: Low Income
Hooks: First Generation (Hispanic), LGBT, Dean’s Honor List
Extracurriculars: No extra curricular whatsoever, though I described in full detail that because of my upbringing, I chose to leave home early and started working 30-40 hours a week for three years to make ends meet.
Job/Work Experience: Multiple restaurants, as a host and server, locations in New York, Palo Alto and Los Angeles
Strengths: Large work experience, my personal insight questions were carefully crafted and to the best of my ability, really demonstrates my pervasiveness and determination to transfer despite working, paying rent, tutoring my siblings, etc (just regular ol’ adulting lol) I also managed to complete my IGETC and major prereqs in one academic school year, I will be finished by June!!!
Weaknesses: No extra curriculars, I don’t know how damaging this is tbh, but my work and school record can prove that I’ve been fending for myself since I graduated high school.
Schools applied: UCLA
Wow! I think you have a fantastic chance. And your major accepted 54% last year so that’s good! Best of luck
