I know everybody is as exited as I am but were you guys able to access your financial aid status?? Mine says no FAFSA received. Every other school i got accepted to has received my fafsa>> Any idea???

dont worry mine says hte same. i think they just havent updated it yet

same here ...

mine says no either...haha I panicked

oh oh.... you guys have the "NO falsa" I thought I am the only one who got that problem... we all have a problem of "NO Fafsa" oh yeah, we all have an "ACCEPTANCE" as well

I'm so happy that UCLA accepts me! It is an.... undescribable happiness! How do you guys feel?

I feel surprised because I was planning to go to UCI...I even talked to the counselors there...planning summer courses and what not....haha that plan is down the drain

same, i got a no fafsa box, whew everyone else does too

Anyone got the financial package?

I just sent an email to UCLA financial aid office. Once I have their respond, I will let you know.;

the reason why it says No FAFSA is because they dont tell you until u submit ur SIR... so the default says No FAFSA. thats why, dont be worried.

Actually, it doesn't show up for about 2-3 weeks. Once you're admitted, UCLA gets a response from FAFSA that lists your financial awards. All of this information can be found on the UCLA website.

That makes no sense brandon.

I work at Pierce College Financial Aid and am very familiar with the process. UCLA's FA office has not completed the financial aid eFANs and ePALs as of yet because of delays in the office. They're computer system is also showing false information as stated in the recording that you get when you call the office itself. As long as you submitted your FAFSA application with a PIN number for you and your parents with UCLA's school code you should be fine and will receive notification soon. They were behind for freshmen I believe as well so don't sweat it. Expect your awards to be similar to those that you received at other schools. Most of you are going to be given a 5,500 subsidized loan with an addt'l Perkins... those with more need are eligible for Pell Grants, SMART grants, and Cal Grants which are grant awards. Don't expect as much financial aid as the freshmen do since their loan amounts are much lower.

I contacted the office. You need to submit your SIR, and then your info will be available. They are dealing with their new system.

Wow... UCLA is playing smart! I thought they would offer a financial aid package so we will take into account whether we would choose to go there or not but UCLA makes us commit to the school first before we can see the financial aid package. Not so nice!

Anyways, when did the students last year who transferred to UCLA receive their financial aid package by the way? And about how much did UCLA offer? And is UCLA financial aid package about the same as the ones in UCI or UCSD or any other UCs?

I got pretty much the same answer from UCLA Financial Aid office..

I submitted my SIR yesterday and checked myFAO today and it says that Document Tracking is now complete. I wonder why there are no ePALs like there should be. Oh well.

That's how UCI worked.

UCI showed me my award regardless of SIR.

same, ucla's new policy is very wrong, we don't know what they are going to give us if anything at all, and were supposed to choose them?

Yeah UCSB and UCR showed me awards before SIR sent. And to the person who asked how we feel because of acceptence. Well im very happy! WOOHOOO! BRUINS! lol. But seriously, I havent been this happy in a long time. Ive had somewhat of a smile since I heard the news last night. SO SO SO HAPPY! GO BRUINS!!! hehe.
