UCLA (Financial)

I was recently admitted to UCLA and I just wanted to know if the amount of money that is being offered as our financial award, is it only for this upcoming school year or will it be similar for the four years?

Only for this year. You have to submit the FASFA each year.

@Gumbymom‌ But assuming everything remains the same such as parents income, will the money received this year be similar to that of next year, or does the amount received automatically reduces just because you’re it’ll be your second year?

@greencarrot Assuming everything is the same for each FAFSA you submit, your financial aid package should be similar each year. There might be some special scholarships you received as an incoming freshman, such as a Scholarship Recognition Award, that aren’t renewable (but might be replaced with other aid). You can also apply for scholarships each year, but in general you can expect for award packages to be similar unless something drastic happens to state funding.

My son graduated last year. He received the “Scholarship Recognition Award” first year. There was not any significant changes in our income and we had 2 in college for all 4 years. He got the same amount of money all 4 years.
