UCLA food better than Berkeleys?

i need help making a decision between Cal and UCLA and the food aspect is really important to me.

even though you might get tired of the food at UCLA, its better here.

ucla, hands down.

If you’re asking about the food, then UCLA campus food is definitely better than Berkeley’s. But for Cal, you can go off campus to get better food (might be more expensive though).

you can use Cal’s meal points off campus?

wow you glutton, why don’t you go on a diet or something fatty

lol glutton. yeah i like to eat a lot and love to eat good food but in no way am i fat, unhealthy, chubby, etc.

sure thing fatty

Berkeley is more of a college town. Berkeley tends to shun corporate food and food chains.

We have two Subways and a MacDonalds. Everything else is non-chain or small-chain food.

I love food too!

Is there easily accessibly/relatively cheap sushi, lobster, filet mignon, gourmet cakes, or jumbo shrimps around or in UCLA?

If not, I may have to go to some other school. =[

i think as far as dorm food goes…UCLAdorm food was ranked number 1 in the country until they started to count culinary cooking schools which bumped us down to 12, however we are the only prestigious known school at the top of the rankings…
i hope all my info is correct

confidentiality: Nothing around UCLA is cheap, especially those gourmet upscale stuff you mentioned. Better chance of that in Berkeley.

laserbase: Doesn’t Cornell rank higher?

^ Cornell food is better, but ugh … its soo expensive. my uncle went there and it costed him almost a fortune to get the food.
In terms of cost, ucla dorm food is still cheap in my book, considering the good food you get.

ucla food is really really good. Tons of buffets and every style imaginable.

My friends got into both and they decided on LA for the food lol

I don’t think you’ll find any place that has “relativley cheap” sushi, lobster, filet mignon, gourmet cakes, or jumbo shrimp.

Virginia Tech @ #3? woahhh

The food is pretty decent; however, it’s very easy to gain a lot of unhealthy weight. Bruin Cafe sandwiches run at 800 calories a piece, and I am SURE Puzzles pizzas are in the thousands.

You just have to balance everything though; make sure you eat healthy. Skip the pizza and get a salad with fruit and veggies and water.

Strangely enough all the pizzas from Puzzles have less than 800 calories according to their nutrition site.

does anyone know where the candy store is located?

i remember it being in the same building as the arcade but i can’t remember.

haha thanks!
