UCLA Food - Vegan Options?

Is it difficult to find vegan options in the dining halls?

Provide your own food. Bring a fridge. Walk to Westwood to that somethingnaturalfoodssomething. Flopsy will fill in. alright spug?! :p

i'm a vegetarian and it's basically salad, pasta, and veggie burgers. except pasta is probably out for you since theres cheese

unfortunately, there aren't very many vegan options

Covel does have a pretty decent veggie grill. Grilled tofu, peppers, squash, eggplant (sometimes), and mushrooms.

not decent at all!!!

too salty too greasy

i knew a vetgan once here she never ate anything and never used her dorm food swipes you need to rely on those places in westwood and get your own food

just be a vegetarian :)

Really? I love the mushrooms and rice...xP

wuts the difference between vegan and vegetarian? a couple of my indian friends who are vegetarian say UCLA have awesome vegetarian food...

Vegans are vegetarians plus pwnt when it comes to dairy...that one episode of the simpsons i saw like 4 years ago is pretty apt..

Vegans don't eat meat or dairy products.

I'd be willing to go back to being vegetarian if there aren't many vegan options, but are the vegetarian options healthy?

why would anyone ever want to become a vegan at this age.....that is just sad.!!!

Why do people assume I'm a vegan? Anyways, the vegetarian options are not healthy.

vegetarian = the meat dish of the night, minus the meat.
like, pasta and italian sausage w/o sausage.
or, cheese pizza.
or, salads and tostadas and sandwiches and brownie goo xD
there's PLENTY of vegetarian stuff... because for every entree that isn't vegetarian, they provide a vegetarian option.
how "healthy" it is can vary, so if you're a health nut (vegetarian or not) the dorms aren't your best friend. but they CAN be healthy.
you can always supplement healthy food with whole foods or that other grocery store in westwood.

lexinorbit, veganism makes many of us happy, it’s not sad.
