Hi,

We are not California residents and I wanted to know how difficult it was to apply to UCLA for MT out of state? I know that UCLA is traditionally very hard for us out-of-staters but is it any easier for MT?

hey!

at this year's audition, i mentioned that to a current student and she said it really is different for the Theatre programs...she said alot of people were out of state. so i guess the MT program doesnt apply i nthe same way to the normal university.

i am out of state and was accepted, so it's possible!

Congratulations Kg07!

We are from the East Coast, and we were told that getting into UCLA for us is like getting into Harvard. I would love to find out FOR SURE if that is the case -- that it is a different standard for MT than for regular students.

I’m from texas and i’m auditioning if u guys know any info it would help alot !(:
thanks(:

My D is from Texas and got into UCLA for MT last year. I know there is an incredibly talented young man from Minnesota who was admitted as well. I do believe that admissions to the School of Theater, Film and Television is more about talent/the audition. In any event, UCLA is increasing the number of out of state students admitted going forward to increase tuition revenues. Good luck!
