Is UCLA a good choice for someone who would like to pursue a medical career? Is it an excellent school for premed?

of course! seems like 1/2 the school is premed, including me. i heard from a graduated friend that ucla has the most premed in an undergrad institution. correct me if i am wrong.

first off, what are you looking for in a school? research, academics, professors, clubs, clinical, etc?

UCLA has the most students applying to med school of any undergrad institution each year. And yes, a lot of the first year class enters as "pre-med" - a significant amount of those drop out once they realize that there is more out there than just medicine and law, or when they realize the classes suck.

or they realize it isnt as easy as saying "i want to be a doctor"

just saying lol

I estimate that 1 out of every 4 UCLA students I meet is pre-med.

what about pre-dental?

the real question is: are you man enough to be pre-med?

pre-dental..i know like one person who's doing pre-dental. but i don't really pay attn! i expect it to be a decent prgm since ucla has a great dental school.

im considering between med or dental....... very hard decision!
