UCLA Freshman Admission is out...Early

As the title reads, Freshman admission is out today for UCLA, which seems rather early than normally late March. I cant recall UCLA releasing their freshman or transfer admission before UCSB,UCSD, UCSC, etc. So clearly they finished early this year, meaning that they have more time to work on our transfer apps...why am i posting this?

Im hoping that we hear from UCLA earlier also maybe like April 12th? :)

The admission site changes from saying when to expect decisions, to the possibility to log in. check it out

EDIT: Once you log it, it still says we will receive our admission in late april, but you never know. It also includes this message:

Dear ****:

We have received your application for Fall Quarter 2010. However, admission decisions have not yet been made for our transfer applicants. We plan to begin notifying transfer applicants of our decisions starting in late April. Please check with us again around that time.

If your name and contact information listed above is incorrect, please notify us.

It also give a UCLA STUDENT ID NUMBER hahah sorry im just excited, we got just 6 weeks left

Gotta love the student id number. Mine’s a good number, kinda catchy.

Interesting news, thanks for posting this. Freshmen were like 80% of the total applicants (I think) so transfers shouldn’t take too long to finish from this point.

Edit: 57,578 Fresh, 18,735 Trans, 76,313 Total ~75% of all applications were freshmen

It says mid march for freshmen and late April for transfers.

@ rpicton yeah i knowwww, and i used to think they didnt start reviewing transfers till they were done with freshman, but thats clearly not the case because people have been emailed by UCLA to clarify certain aspects of their application.

and yeah says mid-to-late march for freshman but it has always been on the late side from what i can remember, even though this year they have the most applicants they’ve had.
