Hey guys,

Just wondering - is there a freshman admit day? I've heard of the scholar day, but is there one for all admitted freshmen? If so, when is it?

nevermind found it. april 10?

Also the 17th. Admit weekend is different and that is probable what you got confused with.

wait so there are two different days? does it matter which one you attend?

yea theyll rescind your acceptance if you attend the wrong one

wait… are you serious?

wait aa6590 can you clarify what you’re talking about?

i never knew there was a freshman admit day or that we had to attend it. when is it?

im pretty sure hes messing with u guys… i dint even get any admit day stuff to go to. going to the engineering open house though

Don’t feel the ■■■■■, boys and girls. S/he said something completely farfetched to someone who’s in the know, but obviously not to someone who does not know, just for his/her own amusement.

Admit Day is not mandatory. You will still be able to SIR and later enroll even if you don’t go.

Freshman admit day information can be found this way:

Go to your admissions decision letter online
Click events for new bruins (or something to that sort) on the lefthand menu.
Click Freshmen Admit Day.

There are 10 or so days to choose from, although the ones on the 5th and 6th of April are already full. RSVP for the one you want to go to. It costs 10 dollars per person and you can bring up to 2 guests. It also has a schedule of the day’s events on there.

Wait, just checked the UCLA page, and the 16th is the last day. I also didn’t see any info about an admit weekend. Are only some students allowed to attend? Also CAL has an overnight program and its admit weekend is April 16th-17th. Anyone know about UCLA?

I didn’t go to Freshman admit day. I don’t think I missed out on anything. Heck, you don’t even have to go to Orientation (though you really don’t want to miss that).

@ThisCouldBeHeaven, my sister didn’t go to Orientation. The main thing she missed was learning the 8 Clap, which she learned at her first football game.

@CollegeStress16, the 16th is the last day. I haven’t heard about an admit weekend.

where can we go to sign up for this so called freshman admit day?

cuz i signed up for the mecha day and the aap day on april 9 -10

guys… i still think engineering majors dont get to go?

Read my above post. and as for engineering majors? I’m not sure. I could ask my friend though if you still can’t figure it out.

Can someone give me the link to where I can reserve a spot for the admit day. I don’t see “Events for new bruins” on the left menu of the admission letter. Is the admit day for all admitted students or is it based on majors. I got accepted to the nursing school …

https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/SpecialEvents.aspx

I’m not sure if it will work.

Ugh … can’t open it. Thanks by the way. I really want to attend college day but it doesn’t seem like there is a link where I can actually sign up lol. This is so frustrating. Is anyone having the same problem and did anyone try calling them? Not sure if the office is on spring break this week though …

UCLA’s spring break was last week. Today was the first day of their new quarter.
