UCLA graduate in a year?

I looked at my major and it seems that I only need 15 courses to fulfill the requirements to graduate with my major. I was wondering how many classes do you usually take at UCLA a quater? it seems that if I take 4 classes + summer I can be done in one year?? I transfered from CC where we had semesters and I easily took 4-5 classes a semester...

The quarter system goes by much faster but 4 classes a quarter is doable, and probably average. Taking 5 classes/quarter is bordering on very intense. 20 units/quarter is difficult but many people do it so its not impossible. You’d probably be spending most of your down time preparing for the next round of exams though (not ideal lol). If I’m not mistaken, I believe they recommend 12 units for the first quarter after transferring, not sure though. If you can do it, it’s best to graduate earlier! No need for extra debt…if you have everything covered though, I would stay since the Cal-grant doesn’t run out for like four years or something and it would lessen your courseload.

thanks! Very informative! I’m not qualified for cal grant, so I’ll try to get done as soon as possible =) And do they have summer quater at UCLA? and it’s also 10 weeks right?
