<p>Hey everyone i just got accepted to UCLA ooooohhhhhh YEAH as a transfer student and i got a housin offer at the HITCH SUITE a triple is that good or bad???? </p>
<p>im a chemistry major so how would that go..... im so exited to go</p>
<p>ohhh That’s REALLY BAD. seriously. i lived in Hitch for the past 2 quarters and hated it.</p>
<p>why??? what made it bad or wat…can i change to like deneve or some other one…or am i stuck there</p>
<p>Please look at previous threads about housing. There’s a great thread started by VTECaddict and Hitch has been discussed numerous times - just use the search engine!</p>
<p>It’s too far away, unless you don’t mind walking and it’s pretty filthy. Also, people smoke way too much weed at night.</p>
<p>I lived in hitch for two YEARS. It’s got its ups and downs. good if you like privacy and quiet and space (also beautiful outside), bad because its far away and not very social or welcoming</p>

<p>^ Geographic barriers. There’s also a lot of hookah and weed every night, depending on which location of Hitch you’re living in.</p>

<p>well hookah is perfectly legal and yes folks do smoke hookah in the designated smoking area. as for weed, i wouldn’t exactly call it common as its illegal and the RAs are pretty strict. maybe that was just at your specific area. i never saw weed myself.</p>
<p>hitch isn’t terrible. it’s not the best place for a first year though because you probably won’t meet people outside of your suite, unless you make a real effort (which some do, and it works). it’s more appealing to second years who have a group of friends who want to live together and just get one suite for themselves.</p>
<p>Hmm… I got Hitch… I thought I put no smoking as my highest priority? Damn lol.</p>

<p>Well… there’s an excessive amount of it at Hitch.</p>
<p>Nobody smokes in the room, and if they do, they’ll get in trouble. As for excessive weed at Hitch, in my two years I didn’t see much of it. But there’s hotspots for weed in any dorm, and Hitch isn’t any better or worse.</p>
<p>Watch out for spiders and cockroaches too. :[</p>
