UCLA Honors College

My two top UC's (academic wise) are Berkeley and LA, but the thing is I live about 15 mintues away from Cal and I feel a little uncomfortable going to college that close to home. In general, people usually consider Cal the "better" of the two top UC's (it's the flagship campus and all), even though UCLA was more selective last year. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the UCLA Honors College. Thanks in advance.

By most important measures Cal gets the better students.

quagmire123,

come post in the UCLA forum. i believe there's several kids in the honors program and some freshmen who are also informed about the honors program. also, the poster shebsmehr is an honors fellow, meaning he recruits students to join the honors program at UCLA.

you will get a great education at either of the schools, and will be at no disadvantage relative to cal students if you pick ucla.

barrons, I know plenty of people who were accepted by Cal and rejected by UCLA, and vice versa; the difference between students at each school is not glaring.
kfc4u, I'll repost in the UCLA forum, thanks.
