<a href="http://www.college.ucla.edu/up/honors/chqualify.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.college.ucla.edu/up/honors/chqualify.html</a></p>

"All College Honors participants must be students in the College of Letters and Science."

So I'm guessing engineering majors are by default not eligible for the Honors program?

No, HSSEAS majors are not eligible for College Honors.

ur kidding this must be a joke

it must be a joke

are u telling me engineering students can't get honors! -- why do engineering students get screwed like that..? explain someone please

Im guessing it's because engineering is essentially entirely seperate from L&S and that the requirments for College Honors simply wouldn't work with their curriculum.

I wouldn't necessarily say you're getting screwed.

Engineering students don't get "honors" designations at most universities anyways.
Being an engineering major is a rigorous honor, in and of itself.
