Well, I wouldn't be as certain as the guy above. You have below average SAT scores and below average GPA, but pretty good ECs. You got an decent shot. Probably a low reach.

DrAhumada, what makes you think so? Considering that he's from CA is important in the CA school system.

Even in state, you need atleast a 2000 to consider it a "low reach"

just cuz ur from compton ur in haha
no im serious

bump......

i think you have a good chance of getting in. you're third SAT II score is on the low side (520). I know a lot of people here who got in with GPAs below 2000. One of the people i met first year got in with an 1800 and a 3.7ish gpa.

I didn't not know that my location improved my chances of being accepted. Bummer for the other cities.

Indeed, mikecerang.
Let's compare two individuals: One is a white male from the suburbs of CA who is applying to CA. Another is an African-American and from the Bronx. Both have somewhat similar statistics (e.g. test scores, GPA, etc.). The African-American has a disadvantage is so many areas. For one, the individual may not have the same opportunities to 'excel' in many aspects, as compared to the white male from the suburbs of CA. There are so many more to say, but I just wanted to point that out.

You should be in both UCLA and Cal.

Thank You soooo much for assuring me that i have a great chance to be accepted to both.

It should be a low reach. UCs don't practice AA. Your SAT and GPA are below average, but if you wrote a compelling essay, you should have a good chance.

bump.......

I think both are going to be mid reaches for you.
On average, the GPA and SAT score at both universities are slightly higher than what you have.
Chance me back, please? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/654570-worried-chance-me-ucs-bad-grades-ok-sat-good-ec-i-will-chance-you-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/654570-worried-chance-me-ucs-bad-grades-ok-sat-good-ec-i-will-chance-you-back.html</a></p>
