<p>I have to be honest…</p>
<p>I was going to apply without having completed my Biology requirements as stated on assist.org because they are not offered at my CCC. I talked to my Honors Counselor during Summer Session (because as Honors students we are supposed to talk once a semester, at least, to our Honors counselor) and she told me that even if I am Honors and am TAP certified, I have a low chance of getting in at UCLA for Psychology major since it’s heavily impacted, and she didn’t even check my GPA.</p>
<p>That being said, I went ahead and took my Biology courses at another CCC, just in case. </p>
<p>I just had to let that out of my system! UCLA is super picky about pre-reqs, for Psychology that is! (for anyone in the future seeing this thread!)</p>

Well, I couldn’t finish my pre-reqs at that school, lol. Some counselors tell you and admission officers as well that if they don’t have a class articulated on assist from your campus then not to worry about it, but for Psychology, it’s a bit more complicated than that. If that makes sense…lol.</p>

But if you do get them done and are in TAP you should have a great chance correct? I also applied for an impacted major and my gpa is 3.65 and the avg for Global Studies last year was 3.8…im counting on that TAP Lol</p>

<p>I’m only missing chem from LA’s prereq list and only one bio type class (probably take physiology) from Cal’s, both are doable this summer if I get admitted.</p>
<p>I’ve actually taken 4 psych classes (though only one was on the prereq’s) and had a 4.0 avg in them, hopefully that is a plus for them?</p>
<p>That’s one of the reasons why I stayed and got into the Honors Program, just for TAP! Yep! 90% for our school, so my fellow peers tell me. Hahahaha!</p>
<p>@NCB316 If you told them that you are planning on taking them during Summer, then you’re good! It’s just that Psychology is SUCH an impacted major, if I am correct only 18% get admitted each year (UCLA, not sure about Cal, probably ~ same?) that if UCLA/Cal see that you don’t have a pre-req, they might just not consider you a competitive applicant, does that make sense? I talked to an admission officer last summer and she told me that it would be better to take those Biology classes at another college, just so I can be competitive, with or without honors.</p>
