<p>Hey everyone! The gender on my UCLA housing app was wrong. I didn't notice this until a friend pointed it out to me on my printout. I did not select the wrong gender myself - it was selected for me, so I can't change it.</p>
<p>I know UCLA transfer housing is selected by lottery. I'm wondering.. is the lottery before June 3rd!? Will I be assigned housing with males before I can change this?? Or does the selection process start a bit later.</p>

<p>You need to call the housing department about this! I have no idea why that would happen, but its definitely something you need to call about so they can change it.</p>

but the office is closed. that’s why I’m wondering if the housing is already picked/partially picked before June 3rd, cause that’s when I gotta call!</p>
<p>I’m not sure exactly when they do it, but a problem like that is something that they will definitely be willing to fix even if they already did the lottery!! They won’t make you live with boys haha!
Just make sure to call when they are open and try to have it corrected as soon as possible. I don’t think its your fault since it seems like it was a system error (as long as you put the correct gender on your app.)
I’m sure it won’t be a big deal!!

<p>I checked my app! the thing is apparently i hadn’t put a gender because it wasn’t required! I checked everywhere and theres no place i can put that im female i know they’re willing to fix it I just don’t know if that’ll be after they’ve decided most of the housing… so I’d end up with the left overs you know? that’s awesome! you planning to live in apartments?</p>
<p>Oh I see the dilemma. Well I really don’t think they would do it right after the deadline --at least that’s what I think. The deadline is today right? They probably won’t make the decisions until at the very earliest next week. And by then you will be able to get a hold of them! So don’t worry too much, although I understand the concern!!
I’m planning on living on campus my first year for the experience! I take it you’re planning on the apartments then?</p>

<p>I was planning on living on campus but I saw the dorms and I felt cramped 
I wouldn’t mind it though! I heard it’s hard to get assigned apartments anyway, and most people do end up with dorms. dorms are soo fun though, and making friends would be way easier! do you have roommates already?</p>
<p>I thought about that! but then the sites down for maintenance today! so I got scared it might be done by the comp over the weekend</p>
<p>Yeah it is packed and that makes me nervous but I definitely want to meet people! I’m hoping to get a plaza so it’ll be a little more roomy.
I don’t really know anyone who goes there so no, I’m just gonna be getting a random roommate! Hopefully they are cool… haha. What about you??</p>
<p>me too! and plaza was my first choice too! I’ll probably end up there I think, haha. I hope my roommate’s cool too. the only girl I know who got accepted from my school is probably commuting… if not, we’re getting an apt</p>
