UCLA Housing June 3rd Clarification

re: bathrooms in de neve:

"More than 1,500 students occupy the double and triple rooms, each with a private bath. "

SWEET!! And there’s a weekly cleaning service too . . . at least there is in Sunset where my friends live

@mbe16,

I don’t know man I kinda wanna switch to rieber or deneve but if I stay at Sunset, then mos def we’ll turn it social

Lakers:

Change of Assignment/Roommate Request
Due to the high number of students guaranteed a space, we will not be able to modify your offer prior to the due date. Once you accept your offer, you will be able to submit a Change of Assignment Request (CAR) on line at [UCLA Housing - MyHousing](UCLA Housing - MyHousing) by selecting the Change of Assignment Request link. The CAR link is only available until 4:00 p.m. on July 20, 2010. Change of Assignment Requests are not guaranteed. CAR approvals are made throughout the offer process and you will be notified if your request is approved. If the CAR cannot be processed, you will be notified by July 27, 2010, and retain your original offer.

actually i take it back.
i looked at the inside of the reiber terrace. their tripples are PRETTY nice and big (at least i hope those rooms are what we’re really gonna get). i based my judgment of the tripples on the dykstra tripples, which are pretty crappy

@shawna,

Thanks yeah I saw that on the site. I bet everyone would try doing that though, doesn’t seem like many of us will ultimately get what we originally wanted

Dang the housing tour site is totally crashed

SUNSET VILLAGE
Double, Shared Bath

@MrOblivious,

You ready for Sunset Village?

its working fine for me surprisingly. i had no problems checking my housing assignment either

@theregoesevan Nopeee I’m a girl. Hahahah.

Does anybody know how the whole “shared bath” thing goes?

Am I “ready” for it? O.o I have no clue what that means.

To the best of my knowledge, since you’re in a double, a shared bath means that you and your roommate will share a restroom with 2 other girls, the room next door.

shared bath is not a problem, it works out

Double, shared bath = Bathroom is in between two dorm rooms (the other room is a double, too). You would share the bathroom with 3 other girls.

What did ya’ll put for your roommate preferences? Hahaha

@MrOblivious,

Well from what I heard it’s the most antisocial of them so I dunno

bagels bagels are you already a studnet at ucla? I was assigned to DeNeve… Does DeNeve house a lot of transfers?? Most of the students on here were not assigned to DeNeve…

Sunset Village.
triple shared -_-

@1netruesole,

Welcome to the club

Doesn’t sound so bad. Now the only thing I’m tripping about is the cost… For a double in LA I could have paid for a single at SD! Damnnn

@shawna: I got a DeNeve triple. I think I heard they house a lot of freshmen here, but IDK. I did actually want a shared bath though (just to save $$$)
