UCLA Housing Single: Shared Bath? Hedrick Summit.

I just got assigned a single, shared bath in HEDRICK SUMMIT.

What does this mean? Do I share a kitchen and living room too?

How big is my room?

According to the housing website its 10 by 10.5. I also got an identical assignment. My friend said that the only bad thing about Hedrick is that its far... :-/ I'm just worried about being able to pay for it and all.

Sandra

props on getting the single rooms... pretty much noone gets those. its typically triples w/ shared bath. thats what i got assigned at least and from what i've heard, its mostly that way. pretty cramped... =/ no worries

There's no kitchen.
I know Rieber Terrace has sort of like a "living room" which is basically just a small room with a table and chairs, and I'm guessing Hedrick Summit would have something similar.

It’s a suite… there’s a “common room” (living room) in the middle. On each side of the common room there are 5 single bedrooms and a compartmentalized bathroom for each of the 5 bedrooms.

So, living room, 10 siingle bedrooms, 2 bathrooms are in the suite.

The bathrooms are “compartmentalized” which means there are 2 toilet stalls and 2 sinks, and I think 2 showers (maybe one).

@calixena

I thought only hitch and saxon were suites??

Yeah… Hedrick Summit is a plaza…

For you guys who got your assignments already, did you get your first choice?

Assignments are out already? This is a very old thread…

^ No wonder… I didn’t see the dates!

lol why was this thread bumped.

for the record, hedrick summit single is like 6 single bedrooms and then 1 bathroom to share between them

wow i didn’t even realize how old this thread was. LOL

It’s confusing because they’re called “suites”, but yeah Hedrick Summit is a PLAZA and most of it’s rooms are triples, but at each end of the hallways on each of the floors there are “singles” and they are configured into 10 person “suites”… there’s one main door from the hallway, which leads into a “common room/living room”… then on either side of the common room theres a door which leads into a hallway with 5 bedrooms on each side, and 1 bathroom for each of the 5 bedrooms … the bathrooms are “compartmentalized” meaning there are 2 toilets, 2 sinks, shower etc. in each of the bathrooms.

Eshug, that’s not correct - there’s 10 single bedrooms, one common/living room, and 2 bathrooms. Each of the 5 bedrooms on either side of the common room share their own bathroom - which has 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and shower. :)

why did this thread need to be bumped? did you really need to prove that you know so much?

Was this thread so important that it had to get bumped twice?

Please check the dates next time.

@bruingirl01 - What’s wrong with adding additional information to an old thread? The great thing about message boards is that people 5 years from now can gain reading discussions taking place today.

I started this thread ages ago. I lived in Hedrick Summit for a year. Here is the image I just took off my the Facebook group I am part of for my floor. The building is pretty tall (something like 10 floors?) and each floor has this layout. There are three sets of 10 singles on each floor. Each set of 10 singles is made up of the same gender. On my floor there were 20 guys in singles and 10 women in singles.

@smith415 You are totally right i googled “Hendrick Summit Single shared bath” and found this old thread and it answered all my question! 4 years later!
