so, where can I find a list of all the housing options available to us transfer students? Furthermore, im curious as to how many of you are planning on having your own apartments when you transfer? im researching apts right now and they cost a fortune around the westwood area...

If I end up at UCLA in the fall, I will definitely be in the dorms.

^ Same. I lived in Westwood last year… I paid 600/half a room (which is considered very cheap) + util + transportation + food. Granted I did go home quite often on weekends, I spent about 1k a month. If you add it all up it’s only a bit cheaper than living on campus… :(

Anyway, check this place out if you’re lookin: [Uloop College Classifieds - Jobs, Apartments, Textbooks, Carpools, Roommates, Tickets, Furniture, Scholarships, Travel](http://www.uloop.com)

It’s like a craigslist… But for college students. Haha.

What a cool website! Thanks for sharing :)

I want my own place for privacy’s sake. I just can’t stand the thought of sleeping in a room with another dude. the only person id ever sleep in the same room with is my girlfriend.

ps. thanks for the website, its great.

Where’s the best place to stay if You are planning on joining a fraternity? If you stay in a dorm will you end up lose money because you won’t stay in said dorm for an entire year, yet you gave them a deposit to reserve your spot??

my top pick would be at Hedrick Summit in a suite or a double, preferably on the highest floor. i love nice views.

No problem, guys. I’ll def be using that once May rolls around.

@solidblu - Well, they’re all relatively in the same area so there isn’t really a specific dorm that’s closest to frat row (most houses are on Gayley). But I guess if you want to get technical, Dykstra Hall is closest.
