UCLA In-State Tuition

Hey everyone,

I was recently admitted to UCLA as an out of state incoming freshmen. I was wondering if any of you guys have experience or advice on getting in-state residency tuition after the first year at UCLA.

Thanks in advance!

It won’t work. You will pay OOS rates for all 4 years - that is the REASON the UCs are admitting OOS students. The entire POINT.

Advice: If you cannot afford OOS rates for all four years, make another college choice.

Good luck.

It won’t be easy for a typical student graduating high school at age 18 or so to get California residency as an undergraduate without the student’s parents moving the California.
