I called myself and can confirm what czattcla2 is saying. I even asked if I could take my ability to submit SIR as a good sign... The admission representative clearly and firmly said "No, wait for the decision".

I find this amusing. I went to UCLA.... let me be very clear in saying that URSA is the control center for all of your records. All that the decision page will say in step 1 upon acceptance is "go to ursa, create id, accept sir"

I think they don't want people to start talking about their acceptances because if news spread fast, it will cause a great deal of anxiety in other students who are still waiting

So what is it? People get onto their accounts early with clear indications that they're in, but it's just as likely that it's not legit? That's real awesome. I'm hearing everything. It's driving me nuts.

I should sue that admissions representative... after he said "No, wait for the decision!" he paused for a bit and added "...b*tch" and promptly hung up! What the random..!?

Even if the URSA thing is true (and I think it is),I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to confirm any offer of admission over the phone until official decisions have been posted. As someone said earlier, they don't want thousands of people to flood URSA to preemptively check their status.

Chump, I think you're in the clear. Just think about it logically: why would they even give you the option to submit an SIR if it wasn't intended? Furthermore, why would it only show up for some people? Just leave the stressing to those of us that haven't gotten that option on URSA (like me...) :D
