So the people who didn't get one are basically out, right?

what are these likely letters?

I didn't hear about that and they wouldn't be known as likely letters if it means everyone else didn't get in. That'd just be admission letters.

Likely letters 2 days before the announcement?

agree to helloall.
It makes to sense for them to send likely letters two days before the announcement...

Likely letters 2 days before seems unlikely.

Admission Decisions come out on the 18th of March, so I have been told! Good Luck

Ankur1521- where did you hear this?

helloall, nice pun :)

I'm sure if these likely letters existed, this forum would have a specific thread for it, considering the amount of UCLA-worthy applicants that we have here on CC.

eatsalot- haha i didnt even catch that

^^more like neurotic applicants.

Do likely letters even exist? They don't exist for Cal and I don't recall getting a likely letter when I got into UCLA.

only for engineering applicants.

Whoa, if these existed then basically no one in my school was accepted to ucla. My group of friends are really on top of college rumors and such.

Baseless rumors ftw

They wouldn't give likely letters to every accepted applicant.

Likely letters right before releasing admissions? Strange...

That's all. But I like lists of 3. :)

The "likely letter" is the exact same thing as the HSSEAS opeh house email except in paper form. I got it on friday. Anyways, it is only for engineering and those who got the email should have gotten the letter. It's just to make sure that engineering students know about the open house in case the email ended up in spam or something.
