UCLA low-level transfer acceptance notifications

Does anyone know when low-level transfer (having credits less than junior level) students will be notified of their acceptances?

I was under the impression that UCLA only accepts junior level transfers.

@UCBhopeful16, thankfully they do. It just depends on the major.

bigblondguy, I can’t find anything on transferring to UCLA with less that 60 hours, Could you post a link with information regarding lower level transfer information to UCLA

Hi Dline7024 I hope this helps (below). When you apply as a transfer, the major choices for each school will be limited. Good luck!

"While all UC campuses welcome a large pool of junior-level transfers, most admit only a limited number of lower-division transfers.

However, it can happen. Here’s how:

If you were eligible for admission to UC when you graduated from high school — meaning you satisfied the subject, examination and scholarship requirements — you are eligible for transfer if you have a 2.0 GPA in your transferable college coursework (2.8 GPA for non-residents).
If you met the scholarship requirement in high school, but did not satisfy the 15-course subject requirement, you must take transferable college courses in the missing subjects, earn a C or better in each required course and have an overall 2.0 GPA in all transferable coursework to be eligible to transfer (a 2.8 GPA is required for nonresidents). See more information on clearing course deficiencies."

Ok thanks! Do you know what majors you can apply as a low level transfer?

Hi Dline7024,
I am not sure. I think it varies each entering period and for that reason the only way to know would be to check with all of your desired UC schools’ admissions’ offices once the applications are being accepted (it’s likely too late for Fall 2013). Once applications for the next starting period are announced/open for transfers maybe you can call admissions or in the alternative when you actually apply via the UC application site (which is for all UC schools) you will see which UC schools offer which majors to low level transfers. Good luck and have a great weekend! I am guessing, so please call admissions and check!
