UCLA mail: "value pak" dorm supplies

Did you guys get the UCLA mail offering all the supplies one might need for dorm life at ucla...and it truly is cheap for all that you are getting compared to bed bath and beyond or something like that.

I was wondering if any of you have heard how nice/poor the quality of their sheets/comforter are? are any of you planning on doing this?

for more information on it: click Residence Hall Linens ? XL Sheets, Linens, Dorm Bedding

for just 199 you get a 26 piece set that includes:

2 extra-long flat sheets
2 extra-long fitted sheets
4 standard pillow cases
2 extra-fluffy pillows
1 extra-long reversible comforter
1 extra-long thermal cotton blanket
1 extra-soft fleece throw
1 extra-long quilted mattress pad
1 extra-long egg crate pad
2 all-cotton bath towels, 27" x 50"
2 matching cotton hand towels
2 matching cotton wash cloths
2 oversized bath sheets
1 pop-open hamper
1 underbed storage solution
1 bedside buddy

Yeah, not an email, but a package in the mail for me. It is a pretty good value considering. I’m looking into the other cheaper options though. I don’t think I’ll be needing all this.

i wonder if the sheets are like sandpaper lol :P

thanks so much for posting this link!

this doesn’t tell us the thread count though so I’m thinking I’d rather know what I am getting from BB&B & I don’t need all this stuff either. I have organizers I’ll bring…

youve already given ucla so much money haha

this isn’t even Ucla? It’s a third party vendor…

check this link saying everything is low quality:

do not do it. do not. go to target. much better.

Haha yeah, thanks for the tip guys. I have pretty much everything I need but wanted to be selfish and get new stuff :P

Kind of creepy if they’re not associated with UCLA but have our addresses.

Does anyone know anything about the closets? How they look like, etc? I don’t want to bring my organizers only to find out they don’t fit.

Yeah! Thanks! I called some of my friends yesterday (oops, long distance!) and they told me to get the things myself. Which my parents and I have been doing since yesterday! We’ll be shipping the box before we leave. ^-^

How did you get our address info?

How much did you pay ucla for that info?

Why would you call your company something like “UCLAstore” and then claim that you weren’t trying to scam students? It’s very easy to make low quality items and sell them at cheapER prices off to desperate parents and students with a crappy logo and a bunch of false stories about how your linens “sell quickly, so buy your favorite color asap”. I’m sorry, but that’s a huge rip off and an overall scam, in my opinion.

agreed, i can get these sheets separately at target for a fraction of the price.

guys stop ■■■■■■■■ her
if you don’t wanna buy it then don’t

^Agreed. Nobody’s forcing the money out of your pocket. No need to be rude.

Wow, that’s super trippy.

But thank you for posting, I will definitely be getting the rest of my things here, lol.
