Hello all... Well, I got accepted into everywhere I applied (UCLA, UCSC, and Davis) except for Berkeley. That was my no. 1 choice, but I guess they weren't feeling it. As of right now I am in the pre History major in UCLA, and I was wondering about any other people that changed their majors after they transferred, or are considering changing their majors. I read what UCLA has to say about changing majors, and that I should contact the department and ask during orientation.

My change is very drastic, I want to go into Computer Science, and that involves a ****ton of math/physics classes. I am good at math, but it just seems like a heavy workload to try and get caught up. I am interested in doing web dev (already have a few languages down) stuff later, and most internships/jobs require a CS degree. I know that degrees don't mean much when compared to relevant experience, but I figured it would help my jump start my career and look good on my resume. I plan on taking some math that cover the CS requisites classes during summer at my CC just to see where this all goes. I don't know UCLA's policy about switching majors that are in different schools (L&S into Engineering).

Basically what I am asking is, anyone in the same boat, or have already done this (doesn't need to be the specific majors, just anyone that switched different schools)? I'm really anxious about all of this, since it's a huge move for me.
