I applied as a freshman undergrad to UCLA in the Engineering school. I was wondering how easy it is to change majors ( assuming that i am accepted) between the schools. For instance, could i switch to a major in the school of letters and science?

Yah that should be easy to change at orientation, but make sure that you really want to change. It is much more difficult to switch back later.

Its quite easy to change from Engineering to Letters and Sciences but not the other way around.

you need the approval of the dean of the college you want to get into …

I picked math as my major back in December 1st when I applied to UCLA. I was accepted, but now I want to change my major to pre-med courses (biology, general chem, etc.). I want to minor in math instead. Supposedly admitted students will enroll in courses during the orientation. How hard is it to switch majors, especially with my situation? Who do we need to go to during orientation, and do we just tell them immediately that I want to change courses?
