Hi everybody,
I'm currently taking a calculus class (linear) and have been considering dropping it with a W. I have a C right now and dont want to take the chance. I have an excellent transcript (A's and B's) and worried that UCLA might still rescind me. UCLA is my NUMBER ONE. What do you guys think? And if you guys know of anyone who was in the same position, please let me know what happened.
REALLY appreciate. And Jane, if your out there, i would like to hear your story, too. I remember this happened to you last time (unfortunately). Thanks again

Contact the admissions office with your situation and ask them for advice.

Also, contact your professor and see if there’s something you can do!

I’m a Math/Econ major myself and I’m considering attending UCLA. The class you are considering to drop is a major pre req and if you drop it, you may be rescinded. You should contact the admissions office and see if this is the case or not. Unless the chances of you getting below a C are incredibly likely, I would not drop the class.

I spoke with a transfer rep yesterday and asked basically the same question. He said that each case is evaluated on an individual basis and that you will have to wait until you hear the UARS office’s decision. If I were, you, I would try to take that class over the summer, and make sure that they know about it. Santa Monica College offers it. I’m taking multivariable calc over the summer there, myself, more than likely. That’s if UCLA doesn’t decide to rescind their admissions offer to me.

Do a search of my threads and you’ll see postings in nearly every question about this that’s been asked, lately.
