UCLA New Student Orientation

<p>okay so i have a question about the new student orientation thing. on the ucla website it says that during the orientation you will enroll in classes. however, there are like 5-6 different dates (from june all the way to september). what if someone decides to take the orientation in september? there wont be any classes with spots left to enroll. can someone please explain? thanks!</p>

Working with individual departments, we have saved seats for incoming students and divided them evenly during the summer. Does this mean we have enough seats for every single student that wants a given course? Not necessarily. But we have made it an equitable process; it does not matter if you come to the first session or the last, you will have the same chance of getting a spot in one of these courses.

However, be cautious, as the link alludes to, that although classes will be available, it may not work with your intended class schedule. So be prepared to shuffle class dates/times or change course selections to get a workable schedule.</p>
