UCLA Nursing Program - Who got in?

Are you one of those rare people who got accepted into UCLA's Nursing (BSN) program? Stats?

People who didn’t get in - please provide stats as well!

*** Sorry for the confusion! The questions is supposed to be: Who got into UCLA as a nursing major? And who did not?

i got in. i think i posted my stats somewhere before

I would also like to know who got in and any advice that admitted nursing students have for getting accepted at UCLA?

I was waitlisted for UCLA Nursing. Any of you know how many have already accepted/denied the program or when they let the waitlisted people know of their status?

I was admitted into the UCLA nursing program for next year. But I am having a really tough time deciding between UCLA or a private school program Georgetown or BC.

@mlarson19 Hi, just curious. Could you post your stats?

SAT 2110, decent SAT II results, and 4.2 GPA. I think my strength must have been extracurriculars and mostly my essays

bump bump bump

I got in the program as a transfer  I was one from the lucky ten!

Who else was accepted this year?

I was admitted and my SAT scores were pretty low haha at a 1240 and 1330 and ACT score of 21. I had an overall weighted GPA of 4.1 and unweighted GPA of 3.9 and passed the AP English literature with a 3. I was also rank 7 of 386 when I applied, and had a couple of extracurriculars but it wasn’t much. I believe that my strength was mainly in my personal statement :), I am embarrassed by my test scores but I just want to say that it shouldn’t discourage anyone from applying! (I also got into Berkeley! So do not be discouraged!)

I was admitted as a freshman!

Academics:

GPA - Unweighted: 4.50
GPA - Weighted: 3.853
Class Rank: top 5%
Class Size: 495

Scores:

SAT I Math: 750
SAT I Critical Reading: 680
SAT I Writing: 750
SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 800
SAT II Biology - E: 720
SAT II Physics: 680

AP Test Scores: Calculus AB (5), Language (5), Biology (4), World History (3), Environmental Science (3), Physics (3), Psychology (5), Chemistry (2), Literature (4)

had a lot of extra-curriculars, community college credit, leadership positions, and continuous volunteer work.
Good luck!

@thesemmry I was wondering how you found out that you got into UCLA’s School of Nursing. Did the School of Nursing personally email you or did you just find out through the UCLA admissions portal?

@latinachick202 It should be synonymous with another. I’ve been checking both the portal and my email incessantly today. I’m getting jitters just thinking about it gahhh

@hijklawn did you apply to the school of nursing at UCLA, too?

@latinachick202 Yep, I did. Did you happen to get an email from someone named ‘Duyen Nguyen’ from their program? He/she said we’d be hearing back by mid-march. I was banking on today

@hijklawn I got an email from someone else & s/he told me I would know by mid-March, too. Have you heard anything? I haven’t gotten any emails and my portal is still saying my application is under review.

@latinachick202 I called the school itself yesterday; apparently we’re going to find out the same day as the undergraduate Letters of Science (Friday)
