UCLA Nursing

Hi! I’m currently attending Las Positas Community College and aiming to apply to the nursing program at UCLA, and I want to be able to do the most possible to be a formidable applicant.

At the moment:
• I’m majoring in pre-nursing
• I plan on taking all of the core classes, as well as the required and recommended courses for nursing here: http://www.admission.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/nursmajs.htm (15+ units per semester, including summer)
• I’m the treasurer of my school’s Nutrition Club, a member of the QSA, and a member of the Psych Club
• I currently work about sixteen hours a week
• I plan on joining the honors program at my school starting in the spring
• I plan on volunteering at the local hospital starting in April 2018

Is there anything more I should consider doing to better my chances at transferring into UCLA’s nursing program? I would love any tips or recommendations!!

read all the info at http://www.nursing.ucla.edu/academics/degree-programs/bachelor-of-science/848-2/ and follow the links. One is for tips on how to apply. Another is for the supplemental application. Read thru it and think about how you’ll be able to fill it out next year; are there things you can do now so you can give stronger answers?
